ël is more than a jewelry brand. It's a story, a tribute to where we come from, a celebration of life and love.
Gaëlle and Raphaël, the creative minds behind ël, are siblings often mistaken for twins. They understand each other’s silences, complete each other’s sentences, and complement each other’s thoughts. They are attached to their Lebanese roots, share a passion for design and see beauty and elegance through the same lens. After working for seven years as an architect in Paris, Raphaël decided to fully dedicate his time to the brand.
ël - ال, is the result of their joint search for the essence of form. It is a philosophy that they have chosen to express through jewelry. The brand name, ël, is for Gaëlle and Raphaël, but also for ال التعريف , the article that makes the indefinite definite and the common unique. The horizontal line in the logo, or the branch as they like to call it, is their creative space. It represents the line on which a sequence of minimalistic shapes turns into messages and comes to life. In October 2025, their journey led them to join the IFM (Institut Français de la Mode) incubator program, anchoring their vision within the excellence of the Paris fashion ecosystem. In March 2026, ël received the AMI x IFM "coup de cœur" award.
Though purely aesthetic at first sight, each piece in their collection also embodies a subtle message by bringing an Arabic word to life. Minimalistic and intriguing, their designs explore the essence of Arabic writing and push the limits of legibility. Their pieces are the result of months of brainstorming, creation, hesitation, trial-and-error, failure, frustration, back and forth, and improvement to reach results they are satisfied with and excited to share.
Every line tells a story. Every shape has meaning. Nothing is superfluous.
Sustainability is at the core of the brand. Collections follow the elusiveness of inspiration rather than fashion seasons. There is no mass production at ël. All pieces are carefully handcrafted and support local skilled craftspeople.
